How to patch paint damage by stick-on hook?

Do I need to patch small areas that have had the paint full removed by a stick on hook?

I am about to start painting and have patched holes etc.This is an area the size of a 20 cent piece, the plaster/ paper is showing. Will the paint be sufficient to cover it?

Hi @patty3919,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

From my own experience, if you just paint over a patch like this, there will be a noticeable difference in height once the paint has dried.

The easiest thing to do is give it a quick skim of a plaster filler, then sand it and spot prime before painting.

I imagine you will already have some filler, but if not, a basic filler like this UNi-PRO Multi Purpose Interior Filler will be fine.
