Hi Everyone,
I have two small holes or dents in the wall. What is the best way to repair it? How can I match the existing wall colour as my landlord does not know the exact colour now? Your input would be highly appreciated.
Hi @MyHome,
You can repair small holes or dents by using plaster filler. Simply fill the holes, let it dry, and sand it flat so it’s flush with the surrounding wall. To match the existing paint, try to carefully remove a small piece of paint about the size of a 10-cent coin from the damaged area. Take this paint sample to your local store, where the team can colour match it and mix a small sample pot. After filling and sanding the dent, apply a light coat of undercoat, then use your matched paint to touch up the area. To blend it with the surrounding wall, feather the paint outwards slightly so it transitions smoothly.
