Re: hole in wall

Hello @starzy

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join u s and thanks for sharing your question about your hole in the wall.

I propose installing noggins in between the timber frame about 300 mm spaced apart. Make sure that the noggins are flat, level and evenly spaced apart. I then suggest cutting out a patching repair panel which you can then screw into place. The next step will be to fill the joint with filler, then sand, prime and paint it with top coat.

Here is a handy step-by-step guide: Installing Gyprock plasterboard - How to tape and set joints.

The other option is to build a small shelf cabinet that fits into the space which you can then use as a display case in your wall. My best advice is to make sure that all the plumbing fixtures and electrical wiring are rendered closed or secured before you close off the cavity.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
