What edging for click clack flooring?

We are in the process of laying click clack flooring. We have removed the carpet and layer floor. We then decided to lay floor over the existing tiles in the hall that meets with the new floor, resulting in a step up which we are happy with, but we need and edge for the click clack as per photos. I have some 8mm QEP tile edge, pic bellow that I think will work but worried it may not fit in it enough...if that makes sense. Any other ideas?

Re: edging for click clack flooring

Hello @rusty26

When transitioning from one level to another, I suggest using Roberts 15mm x 1.65m Silver Transition Ramp Floating Floor Trim along with Roberts Ramp And Cover Trim Plugs - 10 Pack. It is a much safer transition piece as it allows the foot to slide over rather than producing an abrupt stop.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

And what about the edge at the sliding wardrobe doors, as below. Do we use an edge trim of some sort?

Re: What edging for click clack flooring?

Hi @rusty26,

You would use a perimeter trim like this Roberts 8mm x 1.65m Bronze Floating Floor Perimeter Trim or this Roberts 8mm x 1.65m Silver Floating Floor Perimeter Trim.

These trims allow you to neatly cap off the end of the flooring, while still allowing for the little bit of room for movement that a floating floor needs.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
