How should I fill in large gaps in outer wall left by removal of PVC pipes?

Hi, 
I intend to remove a couple of redundant PVC pipes (see attached photos):
1) One coming off the gutter fascia
2) One from a double-brick wall

I would appreciate advice on how to best patch the hole up after I remove those pipes. Note that they are outdoors and are exposed to the elements. I suggest using Australian Handyman Supplies 600 x 300 x 0.55mm Galvabond Mini Sheet. In order to create the patch for the fascia, measure the height and width of the area to be covered and add an additional 25mm on either side. The bottom section of the sheet metal patch must be bent by placing it over a piece of timber and tapping the mini sheet with a timber mallet to create the bend. Once you have a nice fitting patch, I suggest using Selleys 290ml Clear Storm Sealant to attach it to the fascia and blind rivets in the corner to keep it in place. The mini sheet can be cut and painted so that it blends in with your fascia.

As for the brick wall, I recommend using Dingo 10kg Mortar Mix to cover the hole. I recommend slowly filling the hole with mortar so that it builds up on the surface of the brick. Once the mortar dries you can use a bristle brush to stipple the surface so that it blends in with the render.
