Re: enclosing a patio options

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Mary-Kate. It's super to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about enclosing a patio.

If you'd like to tell our helpful members a little about what you'd like to achieve here, that will assist them with providing informed and useful suggestions. Were you looking to fully enclose the area and create an outdoor room, or were you simply looking to create an insect-free alfresco dining experience?

You could look at Bistro Blinds, but their max drop is 2400mm and considering your patio roof is quite high, it doesn't appear that they could cover the full height. To install them, you'd likely have to clad directly below the roof down to a height that would suit the blinds. Perhaps you could install something like twinwall polycarbonate down to 2400mm from the ground. The blinds would then cover the remaining height. Here's a helpful step-by-step guide: How to install Bistro Blinds.

For the pool side, you'd need to ensure that whatever solution you chose did not interfere with your pool fencing compliance.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
