How to fill gap between gutter and pergola?

pergola_1.jpg pergola_2.jpg pergola_3.jpg

I have set up a DIY pergola near the house, but I did not attach it to the house, so a gap was left between the pergola and the gutter line. I underestimated how much rain can come through this gap. It is now letting in a lot of water and defeating the purpose of the pergola.
Any suggestions on how I can cover or seal this gap so that rain doesn’t come through? The house has gutters running along the same height as the pergola.

The distance between the gutter and the pergola is around 25 cm
The distance between the the Fascia Board and the pergola is around 40 cm
The distance from the brick wall to the pergola is around 80 cm

Thanks in advance
Charlie

Hi @charlie007

I reckon you might get away with pilot holes in the poly then use around 16mm button head gal self-drilling screws in through the top lip of the guttering. This is often how thicker metal gutter guard is attached. Say every 450mm.

Otherwise one of the narrower metal strip @EricL suggested to make your own brackets up.

Hi @charlie007,

Sorry for the delay responding and this photo is reposted.

Everything there is subjected to movement so on the house side I am suggesting the roofing is not fixed to the fascia - sliding connection.

Use something like 42 x 19 pine with small brackets.

Measure up with the roofing edge against the fascia and then subtract 10-15mm to allow for movement towards the house side.

Cheers
