How to fix fence?

Hi

I just had fence done and it was terrible job. I am now left to fix it but unsure what to do.

Concrete used for the post and nails needed which one are they please. I have attached pictures.

I also don't know if to add another rail at the bottom.

Is there way to call you

Re: fence

Hi @paula24,

There are several products that hold the name postfix. I presume you might be referencing an expanding foam-type product predominantly used in America for securing posts. Sika makes a version of this overseas, if you are interested in it it would be worth speaking with the Special Orders team at your local store. However, it's typically considered a trade-level product.

Re: fence

Hi Mitchell

Not sure what he meant.  I didn't want to ask.

But this is list he gave me

6 Post Fix - Renail

6 Concrete Bags

8 pcs 7 x 45 x 4.8

6 Concrete Bags Mix

1 Box of Nails

You need that for your fence

Re: fence

Hi @paula24,

The Australian Handyman Supplies 65 x 65mm Internal Fixing Post Brackets are used to attach Australian Handyman Supplies 65 x 65mm x 2.4m Galvanised Steel Fence Posts to other surfaces.

I'm not sure that it would really apply to your situation, but I can offer further insight if you can advise what you were told about "post fix".

Re: fence

Hi @paula24,

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what they mean.

You might have to ask them to clarify what they mean by post-fix.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Re: fence

Its ok. I think he meant that steel post

To put between sleeper and post for stability. They are difficult to talk to and even harder to trust these days.

Re: fence

Sorry one last question.

In the post there is not enough concrete and they are wobbling..

Can you add concrete to the existing or do you have to remove the old concrete that was done in july

Re: fence

Hi @paula24,

It's not usually recommended, but from my experience having done it before, digging up the old concrete can be a pretty mammoth task.

It's not an ideal method, but excavating around the existing concrete and pouring new stuff around it should stabilise the posts.

Re: fence

What i can see concrete is low in the ground and there is alot of soil top up.

I am assuming he didn't fill it up with enough concrete

Really bad work.
