How to fix fence?

Hi

I just had fence done and it was terrible job. I am now left to fix it but unsure what to do.

Concrete used for the post and nails needed which one are they please. I have attached pictures. 

I also don't know if to add another rail at the bottom.

Can I get suggestion or recommendation for quick set concrete to do post for the fence.

I suggest looking at Easy Mix 20kg Rapid Set Concrete if you are looking for something that sets off quickly. If you don't see this at your local store just look for the bags that say "Rapid Set" these concrete bags will indicate how many minutes it will take before they begin to set. They will also indicate if they are made for fence posts use.

Are they just as effective as cement based concrete or concrete based

These are premixed concrete bags that are ready to go, all you need to add is water. Cement bags on the other hand needs to be mixed with builders mix and sand. I propose speaking to the team members in the timberyard before making your choice in regards to the post mix you'll be using.

Hi Jacob

I am at bunnings 

I saw this. Is that used for fencing.  

I know u gave me recommendation.  Can I check again please on which size and length to get to renail the whole fence. 

There is sleepers at bottom which are not nailed properly. 

I have attached few pictures. They are 2.5m is it better to get the 2.7 and what length please 

32 or 45 or 50 that would work for whole fence.

Hi @paula24,

Yes, coil nails are often used for fencing.

If you were to grab a single type of nail for the whole fence, you'd need to use the 50mm nails as you have lapped palings. Palings are usually 16mm thick, so lapped palings would be 32mm, leaving 18mm to go into the timber. Anything shorter and the nails wouldn't hold very well.

50mm nails are also not going to be too long that they will punch out the back of the rail on the single palings.

The diameter isn't so important; 2.5mm or 2.7mm will both work fine.
