We're locked and loaded and ready to go. Got our times down and prep sorted.
Pictures to come!
Thanks @MoonshineBen. Looking forward to seeing pictures, and reading about some of the things you have learned during all your preparation.
Keen to get a report on how you went at Meatstock. I'm sure you cooked some amazing food.
@Jason, Meatstock was a huge success. We didn't win, but we learned a lot and cooked some good food. Looking at all of our scores, not disappointed in the slightest with them, but give us plenty of things to work on - presentation being one important one (see the photos)
Unfortunately we didn't get our ribs up as they were a bit too soft and fell apart, but our best finsih was 22nd in lamb, and a 21st in our chefs choice (which wasn't a GC category).
But we're ready to go again!
Great work @MoonshineBen, they look delicious. Congratulations.
When you have a moment it would be great if you could share some more of what you learned from the experience.
It's been a while since you made the Workshop community salivate @MoonshineBen. What have you been cooking lately?
Hi guys, been a while! Lots happening on the Moonshine BBQ end, some new rubs we've launched and working on a new rib rub, Unfortunately a few hot weekends (fire bans) and family commitemtns lately have stopped me from smoking as much, but back on the horse as we come into summer.
Cooking up a BBQ feast this weekend for some friends, ribs definitley on the menu. Here's the last rack I cooked up. What has everyone else been cooking?
We've missed you @MoonshineBen!
Looking forward to seeing the ribs you cook. You always make us hungry!
No BBQ for me last night, but I was pretty happy with my Tequilla Chicken! It's a Nigella recipe.
