Ideas for your next barbecue

Hey all - what is everyone cooking up this weekend? I'm thinking it's ribs, probably pork, although lamb ribs are pretty on point to smoke at the moment.

What's on your grill or smoker?

Re: What's everyone cooking this weekend?

Smoked up a storm on Monday (took the day off for this beauty). Keep it simple with a salt, pepper, garlic rub for the cook, then basted in a special BBQ sauce. It was spot on. Don't know where the flip my pics of it cut up have gone though - can't even show of the beauty of the smoke ring and the juicy goodness.

@ProjectPete, I spare my darling wife of all the hard yakka, & by the way, 4X4s are matchsticks in my world. Mate, you need to man up. :cheeky:

Looks delicious @ProjectPete. Beautifully done. Hope you find those other pictures, I'd love to see it cut up.

Re: What's everyone cooking this weekend?

@ProjectPete that is a beautiful looking bit of BBQ mate - how long did it take, and what wood?

Re: What's everyone cooking this weekend?

Thanks @MoonshineBen! It was 10hrs of greatness. I used a 50/50 split of Apple and Pecan for a subtle, sweeter taste (as you'd know). Do enjoy the robustness of Hickory though.

Re: What's everyone cooking this weekend?

Got a bit busy on the wknd with a sweet spiced rolled pork shoulder, jalapeno poppers and completed the smoking (and of course eating) phase of making my own bacon following @MoonshineBen's method. Legendary!
