Hi all,
I thought it may he good to have a feed where we could share any tips and tricks to do with any of the Grid Connect Range being Arlec, Deta, Verve, Orion.
I am learning from trial and error and really just accident so sharing with others and sharing back we may be able to create some good learning information for us all.
Please post below starting with what the trick is as the title then how to do so as the body of information.

i have lights and a front door finger print lock which i want to test out creating a scene for.
Basically, my fingerprint opens the front door and lights turn on.
I cant work out the if condition. I can select greater than, equal or less than and then i can input a number. I assumed this would be my fingerprint ID associated with grid connect but when I put that in, equals 018, it drops the leading zero and nothing happens when I open the door. Also, why would i have the option of greater than and less than if this is what it is for.
I cant seem to find any documentation related to this.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @fumby. It’s brilliant to have you join us, and thank you very much for your question about creating a scene using Grid Connect.
That’s definitely a curious issue, and I’ll tag in @CSParnell to see if they’ve come across something similar and can offer some guidance. I’d also recommend reaching out to the Grid Connect support team directly. They’ll have the app in front of them and can walk you through how the scene logic is intended to work—especially what the condition values like "greater than" or "equal to" are referring to in this case. They should also be able to confirm how the fingerprint ID is meant to interact with your scene trigger.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Unfortunately I don't have one of these devices and I can't get hold of the logic for the scene options for it and given each device is different I'm not sure exactly what is required.
Try Grid Connect or alternatively post up images of all the options you have for the IF logic and I should be able to get a clearer picture.
Cheers
I have an orion grrid connect doorbell with a sensor and i wanted to setup an automation that would trigger the smart downlight above it from dusk till dawn when the doorbell sensed so.eone.
It does not seem to work though.
Hello @fumby
I'm surprised that the behaviour you've setup has not worked. Let me call on our automation specialist @CSParnell to see if anything is missing from the command line and can offer some suggestions on what to add. I also propose calling the Grid Connect support team directly. They will be very familiar with the command line system and should be able to trouble shoot it or at least offer an alternative to make the automation work.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

I suddenly lost the automations i have.
I have an Arlec Smart Button, Orion Plug+HUB, 2 motion sensors, and heaps of Arlec bulbs. They were all working find for the last 2 years until today, i keep on getting a notification:
Motion Sensor has detected movement was lost at <date and time> due to network issues tap to view.
If you check the motion sensor logs, you can see it detects the motion. then there's an error in red that Automation {scene} says processing failed.
I used to be able to press the button and the lights will turn off. I used to be able to turn on the light based on motion almost instantly. Somehow, it stopped working today.
I thought it is the Hub, but when i tried to create the same routines in Google Home using the same devices, it works but just has a delay of 4 seconds. So i can tell that the devices works... Just somehow Grid Connect does not let my automations run.
I also noticed a lot of delayed notifications coming, like Sensor has detected movement was lost at 20205 May 22 14:12 due to network issues. However, all my other devices seems to work and i can control them using grid connect app without any issues. So it is purely the automation that's having an issue.
I have tried deleting and recreating the automation scene. Didnt work
I have tried deleting and re-adding the sensor. Didnt work.
What else can i do?
Hello @ongpin_boy
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.
If you've tried to reprogram the automation scene and it still keeps failing my only suspicion is that there is a possible hardware failure. It's also possible that there was a software error when an upgrade was carried out to the system. I suggest doing an elimination test and programming one sensor at a time and putting it through its paces.
Let me call on our experienced member @CSParnell to get his recommendation.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

My whole system was going crazy with alerts today too whilst I was at work I had to turn automations off to stop the notifications, I thought it may have been the internet dropped out but if it's wide spread it sounds like a Tuya server issue for Oceania.
My end seems ok tonight after turning the sensor automations back on but if yours are still not then turn every thing off, turn your modem on give it time to boot up, then your Bluetooth hubs, then your wifi lights or bulbs and see how you go. If still no joy switch your devices on and off through the app that usually gets them working.
It's not the first time this has happened either probably 3rd time for me it rare but hey it's technology
It’s back to normal in the evening. Thought my hub was broken and placed an order for another one. But at least I have a back up hub now. Thanks for responding.
Hello @ongpin_boy
It's good to hear the unit corrected itself and its always a good idea to have a back-up unit especially if its a hub.
