How to build a shelf using a Specrite panel?
Hi guys,
I bought a Specrite panel today to use as a shelf, two brackets.and a box of screws.
I bought the 25mm screws specifically to avoid the screw popping out the top of the shelf, however the head of the screw goes straight through the holes of the bracket.
How do I screw the panel to the brackets without needing a supporting piece of wood simply to act as a spacer?

Re: Shelf, Bracket and Screw Question
Hello @BoeingFan
I propose bringing your screws back to the store and testing if fits the Zenith 3/16" And M5 316 Stainless Steel Flat Washer, using the washer will prevent the screw from passing through the hole of the bracket.
The other option is to get a larger screw such as the Zenith 10G x 25mm Galvanised Wafer Head Timber Screws.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
Eric
