Dear All
Can anyone suggest where I can find square rods and bolts to assemble a metal bed frame? In particular, I am looking for those in the following image: (M8; bolt length 35mm ideally and fits in a 10 x 10 mm square hole in the bed frame)
I can see that these are available on ebay in the EU but have not been able to source any in Australia? It seems they should be readily available given how many beds are in the country, but I've hit a dead end. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for your reply! I really appreciate your generosity and skills.
I remeasured and you are absolutely right the square hole measures 12 x 12 mm.
SO if you are still willing to give it a try then it would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Still happy to try @Mar1mot 😁
I just need the frame thickness to determine where to centre for drilling and tapping for the bolts.
I now have 12 mm square 'fillet' to make the nuts.
Cheers.
Hi @Mar1mot
You've probably solved your bed anchorage issues.
But if not - I'm still happy to build.
And amazingly - I finally located the purpose built bolts. They have a tapered end for better nut location.
They're yours if you want.
Cheers.
