Hello all!
I just had a flat roof installed and I was wondering if the flashing is done right? Should these screws on the top end (just below the capping/ flashing) be visible? Or should the part where the screws are go behind the fascia board?
Hi @JRJS,
That’s a good question, and the best source for a definite answer would be the roofing manufacturer or the installer. Different metal roofing systems and flashing profiles have specific installation requirements, so it’s hard to say for sure if those screws should be visible or hidden just from the photos.
I’d recommend contacting the roofing manufacturer or installer directly and asking for the installation instructions or technical guidance specific to your roofing system. They’ll be able to confirm whether the visible screws are correct or if that section of the flashing should have been installed behind the fascia board.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
