How would I fix this door knob - it keeps falling off? If not fixable then how do I replace it?
Hi @SunnyZim87,
You can see there is a thread on the outside of the handle and the inside of the door plate.

To stop the handle from falling off, these two pieces need to screw into each other.
To do this, you will have to take the handle on the opposite side of the door off so you can remove the spindle. Once the spindle is out, you can screw this handle in place, then replace the spindle and handle on the opposite side of the door.
If this does not fix the problem, then the instructions for the Classic Series Passage Knob Set should help. Let me know how you go, and if you run into any issues, please let me know so I can assist further.

Thanks Jacob - what does the spindle look like and how does one remove it? Sorry if that's a silly question but I've never removed a doorknob before!
Hi @SunnyZim87,
Apologies, I should have marked this on the photo.
This is the spindle here.

On the opposite side of the door, it should protrude further than it does on this side. Once the handle on the opposite side of the door is removed, you should be able to grab it with your hand and pull it out.
If you have trouble, you can use some pliers to help grasp it.
If you're still having trouble, look for a small rubber o-ring around the spindle that could be holding it in place. Looking at the instructions, I doubt there will be one, but some door handles have them.
Let me know how you go.

Thanks Jacob - how do I remove the handle on the other side? It seems to be quite firmly attached?
Hi @SunnyZim87,
You can see there is a seam with two distinct pieces on each side of the seam.

You should be able to grasp the outer piece and rotate it counterclockwise to remove it.
If you can't grip it, a piece of Non-slip Kitchen Drawer Liner should help you grip it and rotate it off.
Let me know how you go.
Jacob
Thanks! It's a bit stiff so I think I may need to wait for my brother to come round to apply his muscle!
