How to replace tin roof?

Hi. I need to replace two galvanised tin sheets above toilet enclave. Should i replace with zonc coated or galvanised iron? Cheers.

I also need to tidy up some damaged rendering on the ourtside of the house, along termite barrier. Can you recommend what to use please?

Many thanks.

Re: Rendoring and tin roof.

Hello @StephenBrookes

I propose using Fielders 2400mm 0.42mm Zincalume Steel BMT S-Rib Corrugated Steel Cladding - 2400mm (please double check the length). I suggest using Zincalume for better corrosion resistance and a longer lifespan, while galvanized is a more traditional and potentially cheaper option. Zincalume uses a protective coating of zinc, aluminium, and silicon that offers enhanced durability, especially in harsh environments, whereas galvanized steel primarily uses a zinc coating.

In regards to the render, I suggest using Dunlop 20kg Multipurpose Acrylic Render, but if the damage is quite deep, I suggest using Australian Builders 20kg Mortar Mix.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Rendoring and tin roof.

Thanks Eric,

Can I purchase a smaller size multipurpose acrylic render?

Does Bunnings stock the zincalume and can I order to a specific length?

Cheers.

Re: Rendoring and tin roof.

Hello @StephenBrookes

I recommend speaking to the team at the special orders desk in regards to the Zincalume custom length. I propose looking at Dingo 10kg Mortar Mix which is a smaller bag. But the acrylic render only comes in a 20kg bag.
