How to seal coasters?

Hi I purchased Boyle clear satin varnish. Will that seal coasters and make it heat/ water resistant? If not what can I use? Thanks

I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to seal coasters? by @Susanne2. I don't think the Boyle 250ml Satin Clear Leni Varnish is ideal for coasters and is more suited for paintings. In the discussion the Rust-Oleum 298g 2X Ultra Cover Gloss Clear Spray Paint was suggested. Regarding placing hot items on it, the coating is good for up to 93 degrees Celsius, so it will be enough to put up with hot cups.
