Hi guys,
I want to level the tiles grout before putting the hybrid woods on . Should I use self leveller compound or mortar? Or any other things that could be good. Thank you so much!
Hi @trebordng,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
Generally, you would use a flexible self-levelling compound over your tiles before laying the hybrid flooring on top.
I have previously spoken with our supplier Sika for their recommendations, and they recommended Sikafloor® Level Ultra, which is a specialised flexible levelling compound that can be used over existing tiles.
It is used as part of a system that requires you to coat the tiles with Sikafloor®-14 Prep 'N' Prime prior to pouring your levelling compound.
As these are specialty products, they would need to be ordered through your local store's Special Orders desk. They will be able to get you a price, organise payment and delivery to your local store.
Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
