Liquid Nails or plaster glue for ceiling?

I was in my roof laying insulation and noticed a couple of spots of the ceiling glue has come off that joist. Making the section of ceiling bounce a bit of I press it with my finger

I want to re- glue so it doesn't sag. I only have liquid nails for the moment.. would that be good enough to use? I figure may as well use what I got.first

I got that instant hold liquid nails it's white and thick

Re: liquid nails vs regular plaster glue

Hello @pat83

I can't see any reason why you can't use the liquid nails adhesive. However, if you are using it to repair the sag in your ceiling's plasterboard it would be better to include screws to properly hold the plasterboard in place. If the sag is quite extensive the adhesive by itself will not be enough to hold it in place.
