Satin or semi-gloss floorboards?

Hi everyone. We're about to get our floorboards polished and aren't sure whether to go with satin or semi-gloss. What is your preference? The floorboards are Tasmanian Oak.

Personal preference, but I think you will find satin easier to keep looking good. Glossy floorboards tend to show every spec of dust and early on you will fret at every little scratch. They can look spectacular but just aren't as practical in my opinion.

Tasmanian Oak is beautiful wood so you are very lucky! I would choose a satin finish as a higher gloss finish does tend to show scratches and dust more. I think a satin finish also showcases the wood better.
