Water leaking through the downlight

I have noticed during the heavy rain fall water is coming through the down light. Not sure what has actually caused. Any advise or direction would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Water leaking through the downlight

HI @amirwayn,

That needs prompt attention because electricity and water don't mix so you will need to contact plumber.

You can also check your local area for plumbing services and you may even have a plumbing fridge magnet.

Cheers

Re: Water leaking through the downlight

Hi @amirwayn,

If you are getting water leaking through your downlight, this means you have a leak in your roof somewhere that is finding its way into your ceiling cavity and then pooling and presenting itself around that light.

Obviously, you do not want water and electricity mixing, so you need to contact an electrician immediately for assistance.

You would then also need to look at a roofing plumber for their assistance rectifying the leak that has caused this.

This is not a D.I.Y. task. Please don't take it lightly and contact the professionals.

Jacob
