What are your plans for the weekend?

Many Australians are looking forward to a long weekend.

In addition to a well-deserved break, the weekend provides the chance to get stuck into some D.I.Y. and gardening projects around the house.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Hoping to enjoy some R&R and get to a footy game, but will also be picking up a paintbrush at some stage.

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

I am going to (finally) paint my bathroom.

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

I am going to keep digging in my backyard. My project Backyard Makeover has slowed to a crawl due to the amount of digging we have been doing to level off my block.

Fingers crossed that this is the last time we dig so we can start actually putting the frame down in place over the next few weekends.

Hopefully I'll be able to do a fairly extensive update early next week once the block is levelled and we have dug out our channel for the joists!

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

I made a decent start on bringing back the colour on our old crazy paved front porch with the pressure washer. Just need to scrub the bits I've missed now. Also did some gardening - mostly pulling weeds!

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

I didn't get out into the backyard to complete my digging. Sadly the rain the night before had left it a swamp.

But I was still in the mood to work so I finally got to work on setting up my new garage storage units.

Really happy with the result on them!

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

This week I am attempting the following:

Get my first tattoo for charity.
Clean the sooty mould off my lemon tree
Prune the rose bushes
Trim the hedges back into a box shape
Attempt to sand more of my coffee table
Prepare a fortnight of chicken soup, corned beef, burgers and marinated chicken breast
Attend the chicken meet in my area and see if I can't procure a chicken for trial
Wash and dry my doona for winter at the laundromat
Build a cat palace or run in my house so my cat will stop playing climey in the clothes air dryer.

Re: What are your plans for the weekend?

  • Finish my front deck (just needs to be oiled now).
  • Start (and hopefully finish) 21 x 2.1m feature fencing for pool area.
  • Do final coat of paint on pool - need it to get below 25° though.

Will be good to be out in the heat in P-Town this wknd.

Got my front deck finished - beautiful Pacific Teak. Just needs a final coat of oil but going to finish the areas around it first as too much sand/soil is still getting tracked across it.

Got my final coat of Aqua Sheen epoxy pool paint done.

And I made a start on my feature fence. The rear 15m fence is being cladded with James Hardie Newton profile and the left fence is just HardieFlex panels. Looking forward to finishing this space off.
