Re: how to remove concrete splatter from sliding door frames?

Hi @landasamuel,

Throughout the process, avoid steel wool, sandpaper, or abrasive cleaners, and do not try to chip the concrete off dry. Patience and repeated gentle attempts are far safer than force.

Start with the least aggressive method. Try soaking the splatter with warm water and a drop of dishwashing liquid for 10 minutes or so to soften it. After soaking, use a plastic scraper to gently lift it off.

This should remove the bulk of the material, but some residue may remain. If this is the case, white vinegar can help dissolve cement residue. Apply it with a cloth or sponge and let it sit for a few minutes. Work in small areas and rinse thoroughly with clean water afterwards. Do not let vinegar sit for long periods, as prolonged exposure can dull or etch some finishes.

Give these options a try and let me know how you go. If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Jacob
