How do I replace the inlet flexi hose on this toilet?

How do I replace the inlet flexi hose on this toilet?

I can't access the internal connection point for the external hose with any tools.

I can remove the internal hose, but it doesn't help me access the connection of the external one.

How do I swap out the external Flexi hose?

Re: How do I replace the inlet flexi hose on this toilet?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ZeeJ. It's amazing to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about flexi-hoses.

In a close-coupled toilet, the end of that external flexi hose is actually located at the back of the pan, beneath the cistern. To access it, you would need to remove the cistern from the top of the pan so you can reach the connection point. This is not a DIY task. Even if you could get to the hose, replacing it is generally considered a job for a qualified plumber, especially in this setup.

Given your situation, the safest course is to have a plumber come in, disconnect the cistern from the pan, and then access and replace the flexi hose inside. There is no other practical way to reach the hidden end without disassembling the toilet suite. It might help to know why you need to replace it, for example, if it is kinked or leaking, as that can influence how urgently it needs attention. But in any case, a professional plumber is the correct way to handle this safely and correctly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
