I recently moved to a new property and I'd like to attach a handheld shower without removing existing fixtures. I have searched for faucet and shower adapters but I'm not sure which one will fit these specific fixtures.
Can anyone suggest which adapter should I buy? Also which method is better, connecting the handheld to the fixed shower or the bath tub spout?
Adding the photos of both the fixed shower and the faucet.
Hi @SriKandrakota,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.
The only way I can think that it might be possible is if your bath spout has an internal aerator thread that you could attach an aerator adaptor to, then connect the showerhead to that adaptor, potentially using additional plumbing reducers if necessary.
If you look at the tip of the bath spout, is there an aerator that might be removable?
Unfortunately, if there isn't, there wouldn't be a way to attach a handheld showerhead that wouldn't require a plumber.
Have a look and let me know what you find. If you have further questions or info, I can certainly assist further.
