How to check toilet compatibility for replacement?

Hello,

I just want to ask if i can replace my 2 toilets (both Stylus stylus allegro link toilet suite i believe) with Mondella Rococo Rimless Back To Wall Toilet Suite, i think the rough in measurement fits for toilet 2, not sure about toilet 1,  and there’s enough space between the water taps, i want to check if i missed something before i purchase the 2 toilets, thank you 🙏

Re: Toilet compatibility for replacement

Hello @jarp0381

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet suites.

I've placed the technical measurements of the Mondella Rococo Rimless Back To Wall Toilet Suite below. You'll notice that the pan width at the very bottom is 268mm and the width at the top is 375mm. I propose a conservative measurement of 300mm or 150mm from the center of the pan in order for the cistern tap to be clear of the skirt of the pan. If the cistern tap is too far in, it will need to be moved by the plumber or you'll have to get similar toilet suite to what you have now. The other toilet appears to have enough space to install a back to wall unit.

Please remember that the store offers a Toilet Installation Service. This will save you time looking for a professional to install your toilet suite.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric

Re: Toilet compatibility for replacement

Thank you Eric for your reply, i am in fact gonna use the Bunnings toilet installation for the replacement.

I measured both toilet from the middle of the waste pipe to the water tap , it has around 180mm gap more or less, it should be sufficient? In case one doesn’t work, will Mondella Cadenza Close Coupled Rimless Toilet more suitable? but the 145mm set out seems too short for my current set out - one toilet is 180 - 190mm.

I think i will get one of the Mondella Rococo and the installation service, it should fit in either one, and i can check with the plumber to see if the other one works and then get another one?

Also, is changing from link suite to back to wall toilet considered like for like replacement for the installation service ? or it will occur extra cost?

Thank you again for your help!

Re: Toilet compatibility for replacement

Hello @jarp0381

I propose getting one of the Mondella Rococo Rimless Back To Wall Toilet Suite and bringing it home. You can then take out the pan and line it up with your current toilet suite. You'll see how much space you actually have in regards to the cistern tap. Please take extra care as the pan is very heavy and can easily crack if lowered incorrectly onto the ground.

In regards to the extra cost, it all depends on the plumber's installation assessment, if they find that the installation will take extra effort they will charge extra accordingly. The link toilet suite and the back to wall toilet suite is not considered a like for like. Please make sure to speak to your plumber to make them aware of the fact that they will be installing BTW toile suite.

The Mondella Cadenza Close Coupled Rimless Toilet will not work for your set out.  I suggest looking at the Estilo White PVC S Trap Cistern Link Suite 5.8L/Full or something with a similar set out.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
