Hi am renovating a bathroom, and wonder if I need to buy any specific taps and shower fitting to fit where the old ones were?
I can just buy the same that is a shower fitting and separate tap similar to the those already there and a bath spout and tap fittings.
Is there anything tricky I need to consider?
Hi @KarynM,
When replacing bathroom taps and fittings, it’s important to ensure you purchase wall taps, not basin sets, as wall taps have a longer spindle to accommodate the thickness of the tiles. If you plan to use thicker tiles or alter the covering thickness, you may need to adjust the depth of the wall plumbing to ensure everything fits properly. This typically only becomes an issue if you’re tiling over existing tiles, so just keep that in mind when making your selections.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
