How to connect washing machine drainage house?

I have just purchased a new washing machine and the drainage hose doesn't have a rubber end for me to connect to the spigot on the sink waste pipe. Can I purchase a rubber end for it. The guy who installed it said I needed a whole new hose.

Re: Washing machine drainage house

Hi @Just_Mum,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Can you check the diameter of your hose and the spigot?

I am relatively confident that one of these Nylex 34mm Reducing Joiners would work, but I want to double-check that the diameters are correct.

Assuming your grey water hose is 34mm, and the spigot is around 22mm, it should work.

Let me know what you think.

Re: Washing machine drainage house

Is the measurement based on the external diameter or internal. I currently have the following outlet cap on the spigot which is watertight.

I have since found the couplings for the old machine that was connected, so I think I'll take them up to my local and see what I can find.

External diameters @Just_Mum,

Taking a hose with you in-store is a great approach. Hopefully, a plumbing team member can find suitable fittings.
