Hi team.
I have Corona Stylus toilet and after many years of non-problematic use I have noticed that its starting to make constant hissing sounds even when the cistern is full. From what I can tell this sound seems to be from micro jets of water coming out of what I presume is the inlet valve (please see attached image). Can someone please recommend the ideal fix? Should I replace the entire inlet valve?
Thanks
B
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @BobN. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a toilet.
It sounds like the constant hissing sound is likely coming from the inlet valve, which could be due to a worn or damaged washer. You can either replace the washer in the inlet valve or, if you suspect the valve may be faulty, it's often a good idea to replace the entire valve. A reliable option would be to replace it with a Fluidmaster Bottom Entry Toilet Inlet Valve, which is known for being durable and effective. This could help resolve the issue and prevent any further problems with your toilet's flushing mechanism.
