Any advice on how to seal this gap? It’s a new toilet and the only one that can fit here due to the space between the toilet and the bathroom wall. However now we have this gap. TIA!
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @DIY-or-DieTryin. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about filling a gap.
You can deal with that gap by first inserting a length of gap filler rod into the void beneath the toilet. Push it down so it sits roughly 5mm below the tile surface – this will give the sealant something to sit on and stop it from sinking too far in. Once that’s in place, run a bead of white wet-area silicone over the top to cover both the filler rod and the gap between the pan and the tile. Smooth the silicone off with a wet finger so it forms a neat cove between the toilet base and the floor tiles. This will seal the gap, make it easier to keep clean, and give the installation a more finished look.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
