Hi,
I have a new standard face to wall s strap toilet from Bunnings. The bottom has a slight leaking issue in pic. How to fix it? Already
check the water tank interface and connection to pip there is no leaking.
Hello @wyzgogo
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your leaking toilet.
Water leaking inside your toilet pan can lead to mould and mildew infestation. It will also produce a permanent damp smell in your bathroom and damage its finish. The leak must be addressed before you seal the bottom with silicone. It could be the link between the pan and cistern, the washers for the cistern screws might have been installed in reverse causing the leak to occur. The cistern hose might be leaking; there might be a crack in your pan. The pan connector might be misaligned; the pan connectors rubber seal might be damaged. The pan/cistern seal could be in reverse. These are just some of the possible sources of the leak and they must be checked before sealing the base of the pan.
If after checking everything over again and it still leaks, I suggest checking out the stores Toilet Installation Service if you wish to have your toilet installed by a professional.
