How to fix missing laminate in bathroom vanity?

Hello! I just realize the PU underneath our bathroom sink is missing! Not sure what happened to it (it’s a rental). It’s causing quite a bit of mess and I’m unsure how to fix this. Hoping I don’t need to replace entire sink because of this.

Thank you!

Re: How to fix missing laminate in bathroom vanity?

Hello @OndeOnde

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your vanity.

I propose using Earl's 250ml Wood Hardener to restore the woods integrity. Spray it on the entire soft open section of the wood. Once the wood hardener cures, I suggest using Turbo 175ml Builders Bog Flexipack to cover the open section of your vanity. My best advice is to not add too much activator so that you have time to mould and spread the bog on the surface of the wood. Make sure to get it as flat and level as possible so that you won't have to do a lot of sanding. Once the bog cures you can then paint the bottom section in white.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
