The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
Hello @DobbsyD
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your cistern.
If you are looking to remove or lift your inlet valve to repair it, you'll need to unscrew the locking nut under the cistern to remove it. Once the inlet valve is removed you can either repair or replace the unit. If you can give us more information about what your plans are we will be able to give you more advice in regards to your project.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi Eric, thank you for your response. I am not trying to fix the inlet It is a new cistern . If facing it My water inlet Is on the left. However, above where this joins there is a plug. What I am wanting to know is do I need to Swap this over with the mechanism on the right ?
Hello @DobbsyD
You should be able to change the position of the inlet valve to the left. There is a plastic nut and bolt covering the hole on the left, remove it and swap positions with the inlet valve. One other option is to extend the hose of the inlet valve with a Kinetic 150mm Stainless Steel Flexible Braided Hose Mixer Tap Extension so that you don't need to take anything apart.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
