I'm trying to fix a leak in my shower tap. Can someone tell me how to remove the handle. There are no screws on the side. There is a screw on the front which I have removed. Is it just a matter of using force and pulling the whole handle towards me? See photo

Yes, you are absolutely correct. It appears that the handle has been in position for quite some time. During that time, limescale and mineral deposits have leached into the handle forming a solid glue-like structure. Brute force tactics might be necessary; however, I suggest not overdoing it and go for a repetitive push and pull action to loosen up the handle.

I managed to remove the handle. It looks like I need to replace this black device. But looking at the photo of the plumbing in the wall, is it a common one that can fit into this configuration? Has 3 op

The store carries a fair bit of replacement cartridges, but they are generic in nature and I'm not sure if the one's the store has will work for your existing fittings. Please make sure to bring the old cartridge with you and see if any of the ones we have are compatible. If you can't find a compatible set, it will be necessary to engage the services of a plumber to switch over your old shower mixer.
