How to replace S-trap toilet?

Hellio

Hoping for some confirmation here, please.

I have a toilet to replace, I believe it is an S-trap with a 1800mm set out. I'm understanding that the set out is where the pipe goes into the floor?

Therefore, if I buy a toilet that is a universal s and p trap (Caroma Luna) with Set Out S Trap (mm)60-185, will that be orrect?

Thank you for any advice

Re: Replacing toilets

Hi @ZeroF,

Welcome to the Bunnnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

You're correct that this is an S-trap and that the set out is where the pipe goes into the floor. More specifically, it is the distance from the finished wall surface, in your case the skirting tiles, to the centre of the outlet pipe.

As long as the centre of the pipe is within that 60-185mm range, then you will be fine and your plumber will be able to swap out the toilets.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
