Hi everyone,
I'm getting a constant leak from the cistern down into the bowl. I can't work out how to remove the old outlet valve. I've looked through the other posts on this forum, and done an online search, but I can't seem to find a valve like this one. Do I have to remove the cistern for this?
Hello @beginner2
Thank you for sharing your question about your toilet flush valve. This is a very rare single flush mini flapper flush valve. I don't think you'll find any spares for this type of flushing valve because of how old it is. There are single flush units such as the Kinetic 17 - 25mm Single Flush Outlet Valve and the Fix-a-loo Cistern Outlet Valve Series 250 For a Single Flush (special order). It will be necessary to engage the services of a plumber due to the complexity of the repair. The plumber will also advise you if the replacement flush units are compatible with your cistern.
Should the repair become too complex, I propose changing your toilet suite for a new one such as the Estilo Close Coupled Rimless S Trap Toilet Suite WELS 4 Star 4.5L/Full or similar.
I also suggest checking out the stores Toilet Installation Service, especially if you are looking for a professional to install it.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
