How to fix leaking shower wall top?

I bought a Mondella Resonance chrome pin lever wall top assembly with 1/4 turn ceramic disc valves installed in my shower (hot and cold wall taps) from Bunning 1 year ago.

The shower is leaking when turned off, and I believe the ceramic disc cartridges/spindles need replacing.

I would like to ask:

Can I replace just the internal shower tap cartridges, or

Are there any compatible wall top assemblies (same 1/2” BSP, 1/4 turn) from other brands that will fit without modifying the plumbing?

Any advice on compatible parts available at Bunnings would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @alwin,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Yes, there is a good chance there will be compatible replacement spindles available, and this would be the best place to start.

Matching up the size and shape of the spindles is important, so it is always easiest to do it physically. My suggestion is to take the spindles in the store with you and speak with the team in the plumbing section. They will be able to help you compare and locate compatible 1/4 turn ceramic disc spindles.

If you can't locate spindles in store, it looks like these Mondella 1/4 Turn Ceramic Disc Spindles, which are a Special Order line that would need to be ordered, are very close to the size and shape of yours. While in-store, the team will be able to assist you with confirming their compatibility and ordering them.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
