Hello, water has been leaking into our cistern and we think the issue is with the flush valve seal. It looks like a 4900 Caroma Dual flush valve. Apparently you cannot get a seal for this and the whole thing needs to be replaced. Are there any valves in Bunnings that might be compatible? Thank you!
Hello @SuziK
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet cistern.
I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to fix a leaking toilet. Your flushing valve appears to be in good condition, I suggest grabbing the top section and turning it anticlockwise to release it from the base. Once you have the valve removed, I suggest removing the seating washer and bringing it to the store and comparing it to the following washers:
My best advice is to make sure that not only is the seating washer suppose to be the same size but the same thickness as well. Please choose carefully before you finalize your choice. Should you decide to replace the flushing valve, I suggest ordering the same unit from the speical orders desk as a spare part. It would be best to use the same type of flush valve so that there will be no issues with compatibility.
