Background:
. Have shelves in garage, 2x Rack-It 1000kg end-pieces, spanned by 2765mm beams
. Looking to install pegboard at the back, using the end pieces for mounting, rather than going wall-mount (garage walls are largely plaster board)
. For Rack-It 1000 system, peg-board panels are available (900mm x 420mm x 25mm)
Question:
. Is it possible to use 6 peg-boards between Rack-It 1000 end-pieces (spacing is about 2700), to create a single pegboard (2700 x 840mm) ?
All guidance much appreciated - Thanks! Happy 2026!
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Rhubarb. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about pegboards.
Potentially. The three pegboards will be 2700mm long, and if your space is exactly 2700mm, they could either fit like a glove or not fit the space. I think, given it's such a tight fit, the only real way would be to offer the three panels up to your unit to see if they will fit.
The other option, as @lcooksey88 has done in their Garage storage makeover project, is to place the pegboard vertically so it'll be 900mm high. The six panels at 420mm width would amount to 2520mm, giving you a clearance of 180mm.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
