Can I use grout instead of render to cover bricks?

Am I able to use exterior grout instead of render to cover these bricks?

Re: Can I use Grout?

Hi @Bomber25

Render typically has up to 10mm thickness  and a  grout not really designed for that thickess as it is rarly more than 3mm thick  and  grout sits supported  between tiles typicaly not as a hard surface coating.

Render products are much more flexable and hard wearing  and cost less than  Grouting agents

Render  has that surface workability in bigger areas with steel floats.

So in short  Best to use  render not  grout,

Re: Can I use Grout?

Hi @Bomber25,

@Jewelleryrescue is on the money there, and Render is the product for the job. Can I ask why you were thinking of using grout?
