I have this concrete apron built with slabs along one wall of my detached garage. Is it ok to remove it, or doea it serve a purpose.
It doesn't slope away from the garage (at least not noticeably), so don't think it keeps any water away from the wall.
I dug around the edge and it is around 2-3 inches thick and it's not attached to the brickwork, so doesn't seem structural?
Hi @DonT,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
A concrete apron poured around your home is not a structural element. You can tell by the expansion gap against the wall that there are distinct and separate concrete slabs, which means removing the apron would have no structural impact on your home.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks Jacob! That's all I needed to know. Going to take the sledgehammer to it tomorrow.
