How to access engineering plans for Mimosa gazebos?

How do I access engineering drawings for Mimosa 4.27 x 3.69 x 3.23m Wooden Gazebo?

I want to apply for a permit with the local council to build the above gazebo on my backyard but they're asking for engineering drawings otherwise no permit. I showed them the installation instructions with dimension drawings but no luck.

How do other customers normally go with permits for this large gazebo?

Hi @terryTee,

That's great advice. It's always best to first check with the council about whether your proposed works require a permit. You'll also find that if they are below certain heights or square meterage or not permanently attached they also might not require them.

Can I please just double check with you that you are after the Backyard Discovery Cordova Gazebo Kit - 4.3 x 3.1 x 3.0m. I've tried searching for this gazebo on the Bunnings website and it appears to be discontinued. I will however call or email our supplier and find out from them as well if the product is still in stock. If it is still available, I will enquire if they have an engineer's report available for that product. In the meantime, can you please choose an alternative gazebo to the Backyard Discovery Cordova Gazebo Kit. Once you've chosen another gazebo, I'll try and see it has an engineer's report available.

Is this compliant in Nsw or is council approval required ?

is there someone that you can refer to install if purchased?

You would have to confirm with your council what your requirements are, as rules can vary, but it is fairly common for them to require the submission of engineering plans for approval.

I have sent you a copy of the relevant engineering plans, which can be submitted for approval.

Hi, I bought and installed Outback Gazebo 4.3 x 3m. Beautiful and happy with it. However I am finding difficult to have 

 

council approval as I needed Form 15. Is there any engineering certificate that I can obtain for our council requirements?
