What type of kitchen cabinets are these?

Hi Bunnings,

I have a some damaged kitchen cabinetry and would like to find replacement panels. I'm trying to figure out what type of panels these are if anyone can help provide some advice.

Also would finding new front replacement kitchen panels be easy? (I assume mine would be some sort of standard dimensions).

Thanks in advance!

Re: What type of kitchen cabinets are these?

Hi @bennib0i,

Your kitchen cabinets are made of laminate-coated MDF. This, along with laminate-coated chipboard, is pretty common in kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

We have a variety of cabinet doors and drawer panels that come in standard sizes that might work for you. You'd just have to measure the panels to confirm that the sizes match up.

There are also options that come with profiles in the face of the panels, but matching these up could be harder. If you are looking to replicate the profile exactly, you might struggle, but we could certainly have a look if you can take some photos showing the face of the panels.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

Thank you for the reply.

Here are some more photos showing the face of the panels. Is it a simple as getting a replacement face panel and attaching it to the existing hinges?

Thank you in advance.

Re: What type of kitchen cabinets are these?

Yes, it’s really as simple as attaching the replacement doors to the existing hinges or the drawer fronts to the drawers if they are the correct size @bennib0i. The tricky part is matching the profile of the panels to your existing doors. Your best option is to take one of the drawer fronts or doors into the Special Orders team and speak with a kitchen expert. They can see if there’s a match in the Kaboodle range. If they’re not Kaboodle doors, you’d likely need to replace all the drawer fronts and doors to get an exact match. Otherwise, you can choose a similar-looking panel, but it won’t exactly match the original profile.
