Hi,
I’m intending to sell my dining room table and chairs and would like to refurbish it before the sale, or at least understand if there’s some small things I can do to improve it’s condition.
I don’t know the name of the varnish layer on it but hoped someone could explain that to me, and how to improve it.
Hello @MattCNZ
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your dining room table.
If you are after a quick cosmetic fix, I suggest washing the surface with a soft sponge and detergent to remove any oil or grease deposits on the surface. Once the table surface is dry, I recommend using Cabot's 10ml Walnut Brown Touch Up Stain Pen on the stripped section on the surface of the table. I suggest using Waxstix Cedar Timbermate Touch Up Crayon on the leg of the table to remove the blemishes and light spots. You may also use the Waxstix on the surface of the table.
The last step is to use OCedar 300ml Furniture Polish and All Set Microfibre Cleaning Cloths to polish the surface.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
