Re: Fix a cavity door draught - trailing edge

Hello @Sath

I propose installing Moroday MDS2B Self-Adhesive Black Econo Door-Seal. It will require you to install two pieces to cover the entire length of the gap, but the door seal can be cut down and trimmed to fit your door gap.

Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Fix a cavity door draught - trailing edge

Hi @Sath

My solution is similar to @EricL the difference is I would use this brush seal version. It has a white fixture, but unfortunately is only available with black brushes. But it will be softer on the door surface as the door will have some plays in movements as its opened and closed. Keep the brushes about 1-2mm off the door to allow free movement. You could try using a heavy duty tape to test placement first.

I use this same strip on our toilet door. We like to keep the window open, but of course this means a cold draft in winter. They work well despite poor reviews which you can just ignore.

Re: How to fix a cavity door draught?

Good Morning @Sath

Both @EricL and @Nailbag's suggestions work, I was going to suggest a roll of Moroday Grey Econo Self Adhesive Weather Seal Tho think I would keep that as a third option as the double sided tape may fail after a period of time as its more for a front motion to a side motion.

Hi @Sath The sticky back is very strong and I have no doubt if the surface is cleaned first it will not come off. Mines been on the door for well over a year now.
