How to fix soundbar mounted unevenly?

Hey all,

So I got my soundbar mounted on the wall under the tv.

Its a little crooked, by a couple of CM and it's killing me.

Right side kind of droops. So...I thought I'd tighten the right hand side bracket and gently lift it a little.

Turns out the guy who mounted it, kind of bungled the screws and you can no longer tighten it. It will spin endlessly as it's probably not holding onto anything.

How do I fix it? Masonry plug? To tighten the screw and then adjust the brackets?

Hoping I don't have to drill brand new holes.

Will post some photos soon.

Re: Soundbar was mounted now looks uneven. Need a fix.

That would definitely drive me insane too @stevedoingfixes. The position of the screw in the wall determines the height of that side of the soundbar, so tightening the existing screw won’t fix the problem. Unfortunately, you’ll need to drill a new hole slightly higher up on that side. The good news is that since the soundbar is noticeably off, you should be able to drill a fresh hole without hitting the old one. If it’s a masonry wall, use a masonry drill bit, plug, and screw. Masonry fixing kits are great as they include everything you need. When reinstalling, use a level to ensure both sides line up evenly this time, and you won’t have the drooping look again.

You'll need a drill that has a hammer function, such as the Ryobi 18V ONE+ Hammer Drill All Rounder Kit.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mitchell
