Hi all,
Wondering if it is possible to hang this mirror in our bedroom? It doesn't have any exisiting mounting hardware and is quiet heavy.
Thanks
Hello @Isaac14
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about hanging your mirror.
I propose attaching a piece of timber say for example 42 x 19mm 1.2m DAR Pine Standard. It will need to be cut to size so that it fits on the back of the mirror, I suggest using Selleys Liquid nails to permanently bond it to the timber backing of the mirror. I recommend placing one at the very top right next to the plastic edging and another piece at the bottom. Allow the adhesive to dry and then attach an Everhang 15kg Zinc Plated Heavy-Duty Picture Hanging D-Ring - 4 Pack on the added timber pieces.
All that's needed now is to install a hook or screw to your wall to hang that mirror.
Here is a handy guide that will help: How to hang just about anything by @Adam_W.

Good afternoon @Isaac14
I have a slightly different suggestion, just as something different.
Using Hume 92 x 18mm 2.7m Moulding White MDF Primed Half Splayed.
Thinking of using this like a old time picture rail where my finger side goes on the wall and the upside down side goes on the back of the panel so it acts like a wedge. You will possibly need a spacer of timber glued to the back of the mirror. This way you can easily hang the mirror and the rail on the wall could be placed between two studs.
Instead of timber, I thought of the metal rail doing the same type of thing.
Showing how they come together
Spacer piece of timber if needed
This one I like a lot, tho it really should be upside down
So the "hook" is mounted horizontal on the wall and then the 2/3 curve sits on the hook and is stuck to the timber spacer (or screwed) and then that timber spacer is glued to the back plane of the miirror (Top 1/4 to top 1/3rd of the mirror so the weight is holding it in place)
Just showing the two different pieces.
I was thinking of mounting those sound panels like this so I had been trying to work out how to attach a panel without leaving glue or huge holes inthe plaster. This seems to be the best idea and by happenstance would work to hang a heavy mirror (compared to a wire or chain on on the back)

Hello @Isaac14,
With the mirror lying face down could you please take some more photos of of the back.
Like a picture frame that looks like a MDF back that holds the mirror in the frame.
I am concerned about that gap and how secure the actual mirror is in the frame.
Thinking the MDF should sit under the frame edge.
Cheers
Being a cheapskate @Isaac14, I would fabricate (weld) two small brackets that incorporate a small pin/rod.
This then would fit into two drilled holes on your mirror frame.
"quiet heavy."
How heavy is it?
Cheers.
