I am wanting to install some floating shelves in my kids bedrooms, however we have a steel frame home. Can you suggest what I need to secure the shelves to the wall.
Thank you
Marion
Hello @Mazzistar75 (Marion)
There are a number of fixing screws you can use for your shelving and some that can even go through your steel studs. But before I make any recommendations, can you please tell us what particular kind of floating shelf you've chosen to put into your children's bedrooms and what size have you chosen? As soon as you tell us the type of shelf you'll be using I'll be able to recommend wall fixings for you.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi EricL ,
I have not purchased anything as yet as wasn't sure how/if I could fix them. Any recommendations welcome.
Hello @Mazzistar75
I suggest having a look at the following shelves - Flexi Storage Decorative Shelving 600 x 38 x 240mm Oak Floating Shelf and Flexi Storage Decorative 600 x 35 x 90mm Oak Shelving Photo Shelf. They do come in other sizes so please look carefully on the website or visit your local store to give you a better idea of their size. I suggest using Ramset Super Wallmate Toggle Anchor - 10 Pack if you can't find the steel stud. But if you can, I recommend using Zenith 10G x 40mm Galvanised Countersunk Head Metal Screws - 15 Pack to drill into the steel stud.
