What is the fastest/easiest way to seal the gap around this door to reduce the amount of outside light & air coming inside?
Hello @Else
I propose using Raven 5000mm White RP48 Self Adhesive Weather Strip or similar. These weather strips are usually attached to the interior lip of the door frame to produce a positive seal. It's done in such a way that the inner edge of the door makes contact with the seal preventing light and wind from passing through. My best advice is to wipe the surface of the door frame with Selleys Sugar Soap Wall Cleaning Wipes - 25 Pack to remove any oil or grease that may have settled onto the surface of the door frame.
My other suggestion is to study your door from the outside. Where exactly is the light gap and wind passing through? Once you've determined where the gap is occurring, you'll have a better idea of where to place the weather seal.
